Our food is vital to our health and well-being. We should know what we eat, I encourage all to eat healthy non genetically modified food or Non-GMO foods. The movement is to simply label foods that are genetically modified by chemical companies. I encourage you to learn more. Here is a linked video if you are interested.
I encourage you to be involved in helping us all enjoy heathy food so everyone and everything can benefit.
Myth busters produced an intriguing video. I agree that we need better ways.
This is not a fight, it is simply about demonstrating there is a better way, also for those companies. When we make it a fight everyone gets defensive, we must collaborate so together we develop a way from which everyone and everything benefits. Stay positive and let all know the benefits to everyone and everything from making better choices.
We are all connected, hurting or helping one, hurts or helps all. Finding a better way puts our selfish, selfless, synergy in action – it is a way to Practice Paneugenesis! I encourage you to engage in the practice so you can “Make it a Great Week!
I have the opportunity to work with wise and wonderful people. One of those wonderful and wise persons is humorist Izzy Gessell. I learn so much working with great people. For instance, In recent conversations about a project, one of our colleagues posted this quote:
“A ship in port is safe, but that is not what a ship is built for”
In seeing that quote, Izzy shared this story from the Talmud:
“In a harbor, two ships sailed, one setting forth on a voyage, the other coming home to port. Everyone cheered the ship going out, but the ship sailing in was hardly noticed. To this, a wise man said, “Do not rejoice over a ship setting out to sea, for you cannot know what terrible storms it may encounter, Rejoice rather over the ship that has safely reached port and brings its passengers home in peace,” And this is the way of the world. When a child is born, all rejoice; when someone dies, all weep. We should do the opposite. For no one can tell what trials await a newborn child; but when a mortal dies in peace, we should rejoice, for he has completed a long journey, and there is no greater boon than to leave this world with the imperishable crown of a good name.”
With this in mind it drives home my thoughts that I have to make an effort to make my journey good. To me the way to make the journey good is to practice paneugenesis so I create interactions for everyone and everything benefits. Hopefully this way, after we are gone, they will celebrate our journey because we left a better place than it could have been otherwise. Make it a Great day and Week!
The lunch program at Marin County (use the link to learn more) is an example of practicing paneugenesis because it helps everyone and everything benefit. This is an example that promotes Vitalism, the ideal and outcome the group I worked with last week are trying to move health toward.
Debra Lafler shared this story with me, please let me know if you know of more examples that help everyone and everything benefit.
This past Thursday, Friday and Saturday I had the opportunity to participate in a discussion about the future of health at Life University at what was called Octagon. It was exciting, invigorating, and encouraging in that all we are doing in promoting positive health leadership seems to be in line with the direction health needs to move. The concept we discussed as an aim for the future of health is vitalism, a positive state. In the discussion, it appears that practicing paneugenesis to create interactions so everyone and everything benefits is what is recommended to create vitalism! Keep up the good work that helps everyone and everything benefits! I will keep you informed as these concepts develop.
Doing Positive Health Leadership and practicing paneugenesis by creating interactions so everyone and everything benefits will cause stress because it means you will be doing more. These actions however are beneficial for your health. Learn why from this great TED Presentation by Kelly McGonigal
