The Selfish, Selfless, Synergistic Power of Smiling

In an amazingly powerful 7 minute TED presentation Ron Gutman explains the benefits of smiling. I found this presentation especially rewarding because he used a paneugenesis approach in that he talked about good consequences as a result of smiling. In other words, this approach is about what we can do now to make a better tomorrow.

The idea of discovering what leads to desirable outcomes is the focus of my work and the message I send. I encourage all of us to watch this presentation and work to discover the causes or precursors to desired outcomes. Smiling is an evolutionary contagion to desirable outcomes. Enjoy Ron’s presentation and learn about how a smile is a precursor to a better tomorrow. I look forward to hearing about the desirable outcome precursors you discover and how you create an environment to make them more common.
